You wonder…what happened before Harry, Ron and Hermione? Better yet…what happened when Voldemort was still a meager student at Hogwarts, when he was known as Tom Riddle? It intrigues you, doesn’t it, the time even before the Chamber of Secrets? Who was this grandfather of Draco Malfoy that Professor Slughorn spoke so fondly of?
It’s year 1942. Armando Dippet, who is mocked by his students for being immensely bald, is Headmaster. He was known to be a good Headmaster- not the best, but surely good enough to be called Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Of course, he was very open about his liking towards the young Slytherin boy- Tom Riddle. Everyone liked the charming 4th Year boy,he was a favourite of all teachers alike, except Albus Dumbledore who had his suspicions about Tom. No one was aware of the boy’s malicious nature. The atmosphere at Hogwarts is calm now, and no one suspects the plotting that goes on in the Slytherin common room. Of course, Tom hasn’t started gathering forces, but most of the Slytherins are in awe of the boy. They could do anything for him, but Tom hardly cared. The next year was coming soon enough. It was going to all play into his hands. He knew about the Chamber of Secrets, and it was going to be opened soon enough.
