personality Lilly is the type of girl that is impossible to miss. If it isn't her strange mannerisms (much like she belongs in a time far gone,) it's her excessive need to try and take over any situation. Lilly is a natural leader, and she has a hard time understanding why other people don't particularly feel like she's the best person to tell them how things should be. She means well enough, however- despite her bossiness, she cares deeply for the people around her. She will talk with anyone, and is unfailingly polite- unless you anger her. She's a stereotypical redhead in that fashion- she definitely has a temper that's got her in trouble more than once.

history Lilly was born in 1886, the middle child of Sarah Preston Scott and Edgar Scott- or so they thought. Sarah wasn't nearly as devout as her reverend husband, and while he was otherwise occupied, Sarah spent time with another man. Unbeknownst to her, her "other man" was a Greek god- and not just any Greek god, but one of the big three. Sarah wasn't exactly sure who her daughter belonged to- until Lilly began to act strangely.
When she was nine, Lilly had begun to sleepwalk out of their home and into the cemetery behind the church, where they would find her sleeping among the graves as peacefully as if she were in a bed. When they would wake her up, the little girl would talk about ghosts visiting her. Naturally, her parents were worried, but Lilly didn't seem to understand that what was happening to her was abnormal.

Urged not to talk about her "visitors," Lilly's life was normal enough. She spent her time with her family, learning how to take care of the household she herself would one day have. When she was fifteen, her parents had begun to discuss matching her off with one of the parishoner's sons. Soon enough, Lilly's engagement was announced.

On one particular summer evening, Lilly was walking in the cemetery with her betrothed. She didn't much like the man her parents had chosen for her, but she knew better than to complain. He brought up the financial problems her older brother had gambled himself into, and Lilly lost her temper. The ground beneath them cracked, and the next thing she knew, she was standing alone in the cemetery, a glowing symbol above her head. Lilly did the only thing that made sense to her- she ran.

For a girl that had never been outside of her small town, Lilly was lost not long after she had left, and wandered absently for a few nights. Just when she was about to collapse from exhaustion, she came upon a house. Too tired and hungry to care that it wasn't exactly proper to beg for food from strangers, Lilly beat on the door until she was invited inside. She had found the relocated home of King Midas, and upon questioning him about his extravagant collection of golden statues, she herself was turned into one.

Fastforward to a few days before current time. Jason, Piper, and Leo come across Midas' home on their quest to search for the Lost Hero. During their fight, several statues were returned from their gold state- including Lilly. Disoriented in a world very different from her own, Lilly wandered around Nebraska for a while before a satyr was alerted to her presence, and sent to fetch her to Camp Olympus.
