His hands were tucked casually in his pockets and he wore sort of a dazed smile and, most importantly, he was in motion. Like any Demigod, Leo's mind was hardwired for war and he had lived through a war as well. As such, he was constantly in motion, even when he slept.
Leo hummed under his breath and looked around at the greenery as he wandered aimlessly. The brunette just wandered. It was nice. He got to move but it was also very peaceful around for him. Leo was easily scared; ever since he was attacked by that chimera but most likely even before. The chimera had most likely brought to light his fear, his fear of practically everything. Leonard was way too easily scared. If he wasn't expecting it, it might cause him to faint or scream or cry. Something like that. Usually, though, he fainted since that was easier. That was why Leo liked the quiet and he liked just walking around.
"It's a beautiful day. No scares out to play. Mayhaps tonight can pass with no fright." Leo laughed lightly at his silly poem. While he wasn't an amazing poet, even he could admit he was sometimes better than his dork of a father who couldn't even recite a haikuu without stumping the people around him. "Sorry," he said aloud, "but it's true, Father!" Leo chuckled some more and fell silent, looking around him in quiet wonder. Camp Half-Blood was beautiful but he had a soft spot for Colorado's beauty which he was content to marvel in.
His contentment was not to last, it seemed. Maybe it was his father getting back at him slightly for the poetry jab but whatever it was, Leo didn't like it. Somewhere, he heard a shuffle and he couldn't easily identify where it came from because fear was quick to cloud his mind.
"Wh-who's there?" Leo called out, his voice shaking. It made him sound years younger, actually, but he didn't dwell on that. His body shook and his eyes darted around looking for danger, his heart pounding ninety miles and hour in his chest as he waited for whatever it was to come out. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LITTLE DARLING, I FEEL THAT ICE IS SLOWLY MELTING little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - tagged; briony lyrics; here comes the sun by the beatles listening to; nothing by the heater vents??? Brie had just left her “meeting” with Hermes and Margaret and was looking for somewhere to sulk and practice with her gladius, but everywhere she looked, someone else had already beat her to it. It seemed that it just wasn’t her day, to say the least, and it certainly didn’t help her mood. Stupid half-sisters. Stupid father. Why the hell did everyone want to be her family now, when she could have used one after the hurricane took her real family away? Screw them all.
She had given up on the actual armory, because the Ares cabin was holding some sort of sparring match there. Brie knew if she had a real opponent, she would push herself too far- no doubt hurting one or both of them, and she still wasn’t used to the weight of the weapon. Best to sulk somewhere in private and deal with real opponents later. Maybe, if she got good enough, she could get Nico to spar with her. That would be fun- he wouldn’t let her win, anyway, just because she was a girl and on the smallish side.
She made her ways into the hills of Olympus, which were usually deserted at this time. She would set up here, and sooner or later, go back to the tent to mend her hammock. Pulling the gladius from its sheath, she was about to start her weaponry movements when she heard someone talking to himself. Curious, because it was a voice she didn’t recognize, Brie sheathed the weapon and crept closer. Apparently stealth wasn’t with her today, however- he heard her.
"Wh-who's there?"
Curious, Brie drew closer. He sounded genuinely afraid, and something inside of her made her want to take pity on him. She had no idea who he was- he was too old to be a camper, but he didn’t look like a god. Maybe he was trying to be stealthy…
“Just me.” She said quietly, showing herself as she assessed him. “Who are you?”

Leo did his best not to jump but he was sure he wasn't entirely successful. He stared at the girl who had appeared and prepared to either run or faint (fainting was the easier option although a bit painful after the fact) if she did anything scary. He watched her as she spoke and frowned at her when she asked who he was.
Why would she need to know who he was? Leo tensed slightly in fear: the last person who asked who he was had engaged him in a sword fight. Geez, that was a bad memory he tried to avoid when he could. In fact, Leonard had a lot of bad memories but he didn't really want to think about them, for obvious reasons. The brunette watched the other brunette for a moment thoughtfully and cautiously before relaxing and shaking his head at himself, not really caring about what the girl thought of him.
"Um. Who am I? Um, well, I'm me? There's a few answers to that, I suppose but I'm me. Who are you? Shouldn't you be be at activities?" Leo frowned and cocked his head to the side; now that he thought about it, he probably should be at activites but his siblings got easily annoyed with him because he freaked out whenever an arrow shot passed him. Leo ruffled his hair and looked down at his momentary companion, wondering what she was doing out at the hills. "In fact, what are you doing? It's rather odd for you to be out here alone." Leo's eyes widened as scary thoughts ran through his mind at a rapid pace. "Are you a murderer?!" Leo exclaimed quietly, taking a couple steps back from the girl.
