Welcome to Camp Olympus! This is the rulebook for our fine camp. Please do your best to follow the rules.
Basic Rules
---if there is a disagreement with a member or a staff member, please take it up with the admin or (if it is a problem with a member), take it up with a staff member
---keep fights in character. there should be no out of character fighting
---this is a pg-13 site. anything that is above that rating should be taken to either pms or emails
---things such as rape, suicide, murder, incest, and child/animal abuse are not allowed on the site, unless in the character history. drug abuse is allowed, however it must not be with any hardcore drugs (meth, pretty much) unless it is vaguely mentioned but keep it at a minimum
---teenage pregnancies and all marriages are life changing events and should be run through the admin. teenage pregnancies may be vetoed at any time for any reason

Site Rules
Character Rules
---you must make a new account for each character you have. joey and nathan must have separate accounts even though they're both so-and-so's characters
---you are allowed to play a maximum of two (2) canon characters
---canon demigods need to have their movie celebrities as their celebrities on the site (for gods and goddesses this rule is exempt. i understand you might have a certain image for a certain god, even if they already have a playby)
---if a character has not been cast in the film (Clarisse, Nico, Thaila, Tyson, etc.), you may use the celebrity of your choice
---for every three (3) females you create, you must create one (1) male
---a Demigod must be claimed by his/her Olympian parent before his/her 15th birthday, so the Demigod should know his/her parent before, on, or by their 15th birthday

Posting Rules
---original characters need to post at least once every two weeks
---posts must be at least 100 words, excluding if you code your post. there is a code in place that shows your word count in every post (ooc posts are excluded from this rule)
---posts must be in 3rd person. as in: 'she walked to the market.' not 'i walked to the market.'
---swearing is allowed in posts but not ridiculously excessively

Graphics Rules
---signatures can be 500x350 or smaller, so as not to stretch the boards
---no nudity or offensive material are to be in signatures. women in bikinis/undergarments and males shirtless or in their undergarments are allowed as long as the picture is still clean

Chatbox Rules
---no advertising
---no spamming
---no trolling
---respect everyone
---no in-character chat (speculation, such as predicting a character's reaction or joking around are allowed but no actually roleplaying) an example of this would be: "oh, i can totally imagine Nico taking off his shirt and doing the strip tease for Poseidon and Zeus, with the music in the back being a love song." or fake situations, like Hermes coming down to put bunny ears on Brie's head: Hermes: [floats down and places fake bunny ears on Brie's head] for you. [floats off] ..can you imagine that xD"

Advertising/Affiliation Rules
---do not pm another member with your site advert. unless that member has specifically asked for it
---do not pester the admin about accepting your affiliation request

Absent Rules
---if you feel you should let us know of your absence that is less than two weeks, feel free to tell us
---if you don't let us know you're going to be gone after three weeks, your character(s) will get a warning pm at three weeks, a follow up pm at four weeks, and your character will be deleted after five weeks if you haven't let us know about your absence

the staff and admin have every right to change any of these rules for any reason at any time without notice. Please check back regularly.
