Zeus had been feeling practically bored in the lonesome months of December. Olympus was just so same old same old. Zeus had his son Kermit on his mind. The boy was certainly turning out well. He wasn’t too horrible for a Demigod, he hadn’t killed himself yet, so that was a good sign. He had kept a watch on Kermit, making sure he wasn’t taking to many wrong turns… he didn’t interfere; he let Kermit fail like any other child would fail. But with so few children that where in fact Demigods, Zeus had more than enough love to share with them. He had an endless amount of time for them.
Unlike his Godly son Hermes, Zeus didn’t go on around having hundreds of children. Once every hundred years or so he fell victim to his humanly qualities, and did have a child. But, he was careful. He never chose women who was doomed, or would lead his child into a ditch. He chose a well off women, who could take care of herself, with or without a husband. But, he was slightly old fashioned… So if she had a husband, than she aced his test through and through.
And Kermit’s Mother fit that bill. So, he gave her the gift of Kermit. Zeus had never even met him in person, which was a shame. He had claimed him they minuet he was born, and always vowed to too meet him some day. Perhaps, today was that day. Zeus stood up from the chair in which he sat and stood. He blinked his eyes, and teleported to Camp Olympus in the Dining area. “Hm.” He mused as the place seemed almost abandoned. He looked down at his gold and silver watch, which read that it was around 6:25 PM. He figured Dinner would be served soon, so, he sat down at an empty picnic table waiting for the campers. He expected some surprise, it wasn’t everyday he dropped by.

It was winter so the sun was now setting. These were the times she did not mind going to the dinning hall for diner. She was early but really she had nothing else to do that evening. It wasn't like there were any other children of Nyx at the camp. Not that she would mind if there were any others. She loved her family gods included. She hadn't really gotten to know the children of hades at the camp who would be her aunts and uncles save for one. She did get along with Lily which was nice.
Ally was not expecting anyone to be at the dinning hall at that time, especially not a god. And not just any god, Zeus the king of the gods. Ally had been around gods and goddess her whole life so it wasn't a big deal seeing on. And defiantly not one of the major three. She had seen Hades a couple of times, her mother a few and she had seen her brother often. This was no different than those times. Only thing was she had never met Zeus and really didn't care so much for meeting him.
Being polite was her thing. Old fashioned and completely out of the circle most of the time. That was only because she was like her mother in seeing visions and almost never got involved with those the visions were about. Ally bowed her head in respect but nothing more. She took a seat at one of the tables and pulled out a book and started reading. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Kermit had been walking on air for the past few days. After his encounter with Lilly, Daughter of Hades, he'd been enchanted by her. She wasn't like any other girl he'd ever met, and he honestly, felt like she was a needed piece in his life. Was he stupid? Maybe. Was he way in over his head? For sure. But when Kermit fell for a girl, he fell hard, and now, he felt like he'd fallen for the right girl. Well, he had time and a half to think about that. He walked into the the open picnic like area, and looked around he spotted the girl he had met in the armory. He flashed a smile even though she didn't really know he was even there more than likely. Than, he saw him. He saw Zeus, just sitting there like he wasn't aseptically. "Z-Zeus." he said staring at him, slightly in shock. He walked up to him slightly. He didn't know what to do, he'd never met a God before. He was meeting his Father, A God, one of the bid three all at the same time.

Hermes found his day had passed rather quickly, which he was happy for. It had been a rather tiring day and the god was just ready to kick back and relax with Julius Ceasar. He hated being at dinner because he was uncomfortable when the campers (the few that respected him anyway) made a tribute to him. So, Hermes had changed into something comfortable and kicked back on his bed, ready to read until he probably fell asleep, even though he didn't necessarily need sleep it was a nice luxury he could afford, working at the camp.
All was going well. It was a few minutes to supper and Hermes could vaguely hear all the campers getting ready and organized. It provided a nice background sound to the god as he read. However, his peace was interrupted by a sudden presence and he would probably get in trouble if he just sat there and ignored it. The sandy haired god sighed quietly to himself and searched for some shoes. He grabbed his red pair and slipped them on, tapping them to make sure they were in place. He snapped his fingers and wings extended from the heels and carried the messenger through the Main House and out the door.
When the Dining Hall was in view, Hermes snapped his fingers again and gently fell to the ground, landing lightly on his feet. He contemplated dusting himself off but it was Zeus's fault for showing up during dinner when Hermes relaxed so if his father didn't like his pajamas, that was his own problem. The god stood up to his full height and walked the rest of the way to the dining hall, surprised to see Allya Richards and Kermit Louis already there and, not surprisingly, Zeus present as well.
"Good evening, Allya, Kermit." Oh, Hermes wanted to send a prayer but his prayers were always directed to Zeus because his father was his source of guidance in times of trouble. Feeling a twinge of annoyance, Hermes looked at Zeus and said, "Good evening, Father." He made his way over the grass to sit across from Zeus and stared at the King of Gods. "Did you come here to scare my campers?" he asked, his tone playful although he shot a meaningful look toward Kermit and Allya.

Zeus looked on at Ally as she bowed her head to him, and he gave a smile, and watched her walk to one of the tables and begin to read one of her books. He turned his head when he heard the stuttering of a camper say his name. And there he was, his son Kermit.
He looked decent, combed hair, didn't smell like rotten fish, and so, Zeus stood up and walked over to him. "Well, my boy, you certainly have grown since the last time I saw you!" Zeus chuckled putting a hand on his sons shoulder. "My boy... you look more like your old man every day." He smiled, and patted Kermit's shoulder before going back to his seat.
He looked at Kermit. "Come my boy, sit." he mused and then toward this Godly son. "Hello, Hermes." his tone going from fun loving Father, to I'm-King-Of-The-Gods-, kind of tone. “No, just came in for the entertainment, you seem quite content hear, thought I’d see how everything was going.” Zeus looked at Kermit, than at Hermes.
“Hermes, I’d like you to meet your Brother, Kermit.” He flashed a smile at Hermes. He figured Hermes knew, but Zeus didn’t care, he was a drama whore, so even the tiniest flinch from Hermes would give him something to laugh about.
"Hm, anyways, could you tell your daughter Margaret to not crucify rats in my name..?" he mused. "To say the least... I did not appreciate that." Zeus took a pause. "To be honest son, spare the rob spoil the child, perhaps taking that approach with your... more difficult children would result in better behavior." that was Zeus idea of a verbal scolding for Hermes.
When Margaret had shown so much disrespect as to taunt him with a rat, it was all he could do not to strike her down with a lighting bolt. If she hadn't been hi Godly sons daughter, he'd taken care of her ignorance long ago. He held a long gaze at Hermes, his eyes showing the disappointment he was feeling in him.

The sandy haired god merely stared at Zeus as he spoke, introducing him to Kermit. Trying not to be rude, Hermes said, "I know who he is, Father. I am the activites master here." He smiled briefly, although it was probably anything but nice. He loved his father, he really did but there were many downsides to having the King of Gods father you. This was one of them. He was just... There was nothing poisitve in that moment that Hermes could think.
Glancing briefly at Kermit, Hermes shrugged, drawing one of his knees to his chest. He carefully untied his shoe, listening to what Zeus had to say about his children. He tied his shoe back tightly and stretched his leg back out, looking back up to his father.
"To be honest, son, space the rod spoil the child, perhaps taking that approach with your... more difficult children would result in better behavior." Hermes stared at Zeus, rage building up in his stomach as he stared into his father's eyes. The older god's disappointment was only serving to make Hermes angrier as those words replayed in his head.
It was all Hermes could do not to scream at Zeus right then and there. There were already two campers present and it wouldn't due for him to lose his temper in front of mortals because there was the off chance he would take his true form and incinerate them. He leaned over the table and narrowed his eyes at his father, grinding his teeth together.
In a terse tone, Hermes said, "Is this why you came here, then? To take time out of my evening?" He leaned back and shook out his arms so his sleeves covered his finger tips. Hermes continued to look at Zeus. "Please, Father, do not lecture me on childrearing when you've probably just met your son today. And remember Thalia. Your Huntress daughter? Yeah, the one who had to turn into a tree because you broke your pact?" Hermes looked away in anger. "I may have problems with my children but I make a point to know them and I am in their lives, whether they like it or not, Father. I am their activities master, they have to see me. I do not force my presence on them but I am there. So please do not tell me how to raise my girls and boys." Hermes glanced at Allya and then Kermit before saying, "However, I will make sure to talk with Margaret."

Zeus narrowed his eyes as Hermes leaned forward and spoke. 'Yes, I traveled all the way from Olympus to talk to you about your little half-blooded accident.' Zeus thought bilaterally. He still looked at Hermes as his son, not a God, no matter how old he was, or how powerful, he had yet to see any point in taking him seriously. Hermes anger annoyed him more so than made him feel mad, or sorry. Than, he mentioned Thalia. Zeus narrowed eyes, his brow furrowing. "Τουλάχιστον δεν είμαι άπιστος με όλες τις άλλες γυναίκες που βλέπω." he spoke through gritted teeth. In this century, Zeus had 2 children. Thalia, and Kermit. Now, comparing the to Hermes, Zeus believed he was doing a damned good job. "Ω ναι, υπάρχουν δραστηριότητες διευθυντής, ένα τόσο μεγάλο έργο. Η δουλειά μου της διατήρησης του κόσμου σε ειρήνη, και τη λειτουργία του rylhm των Θεών με αφήνει αρκετό χρόνο για να χαιρετήσει κάθε παιδί από το χέρι και να έχουν ένα ωραίο καιρό convorsation μαζί τους, όπως λένε με την ιστορία της ζωής τους! Είστε αγγελιοφόρος των Θεών, και το μόνο που τώρα είναι ένας τεμπέλης και αρκετά ενοχλητικό!" he said and stood up, looking down at Hermes "Ερμής, αν ακόμη πιστεύουν ότι για μια στιγμή θα αποδεχθούν την εν λόγω ingnorce από το γιο μου, είσαι μεγάλο λάθος!"
TRANSLATION *in order of speech*
"At least I'm not unfaithful to all the other women I see."
"Oh yes, there are activities director, an immense task. My job of keeping the world at peace, and operation of the Gods rylhm leaves me enough time to greet each child by the hand and have a nice time together convorsation , as telling the history of their lives! You are a messenger of the gods, and only now is a lazy and quite annoying! "
"Hermes, if you still believe that for a moment accept that ingnorce from my son, you are very wrong!"

Anger washed through Hermes' mind, tinting his vision red for a second and he took a deep breath, trying to be calm and trying to remind himself that he loved Zeus enough that he wouldn't go off on him. In a fight of power, Zeus would annihilate him. For a moment, Hermes almost wished Poseidon was his father simply because of the Sea God's gentle nature. The sandy haired god stared at Zeus as he spoke, insulting his dedication to his women, insulting his job, and then pulling the parent card, his anger felt like a flood.
As calmly as he could (which wasn't too calm, but at least he wasn't a son of Hades because those kids' anger made the ground shake), Hermes said, "Father, you are not in my head. You are not me. You do not know how I think or the motives behind the things I do." He slapped his hands down on the stone table top, rising from his seat. "But remember this," his hissed and, from his pocket, there was more hissing, signifying that George and Martha had woken up. Wings sprouted from Hermes' bright red shoes but he kept his feet on the ground. "I am not married. What does Hera think of little Kermit? Hm? What does dearest Step-Mother think now of our ever growing family of imperfection?" Hermes half expected the Goddess in question to strike him down for his awful words. "And you're not doing too good of a job at keeping the peace!" He pointed at himself. "This isn't peace, Father dearest! Quite the opposite!" Taking a deep breath again, Hermes turned his back on Zeus and took a couple steps away.
After a few breaths, the wings in Hermes' shoes folded back in on themselves and George and Martha calmed down, or at least stopped hissing. The set of snakes instead took to asking him what was wrong and he was doing a vague job of ignoring it. Absently, the messenger rubbed his hands together to calm himself. When his heart rate was back to normal, he turned around and looked firmly at his father, not saying anything for a second.
"I don't have to justify myself to you," he decided. "You may be my father, but if you can't understand me, then you're simply the King of Gods, nothing more."

She wasn't surprised to see Kermit show up nor Hermes but the exchange between father and son was interesting. Ally never got involved in such matters. It seemed stupid to her. Why did adults have to act so childish sometimes, well more like most of the time. It was fun to watch. She kept her eyes on the book she was reading, but her attention was on the conversation between father and son. Two gods arguing over who was the better parent. In her opinion neither was the better. At least she met her mother by the age of five when she could comprehend what was going on. You couldn't ask for anything more from a god or goddess.
Ally knew that if she ever needed help her mother and that side of the family would help her out. She had her brother who looked out for her and her mother was always willing to answer her questions. She even met with both grandfathers on a couple of occasions. She grew up knowing what this life entailed but she had help getting thought it from both sides. And here were two gods arguing about it. It was almost insulting to those who try everything they can to help their child.
A thought crossed her mind and Ally decided to do something she would never normally do. She stood and walked with grace as she usually did over to Kermit. "In situations like these, one wonders who the real adults are" She stated to Kermit in a voice that would be heard by the two gods. She did not care who they were. Zeus couldn’t recall fighting with Hermes, the boy had never been punished as far as he could remember, expect for that time her was but a day old with Apollo and such. But Zeus had chalked that one incident up to humor, and cleverness. Oh a day didn’t go by he wished he could transform Hermes into a child again and give him a better experience. He half blamed himself; he too, had not been the best at parenting. It had taken him a few centuries to mellow, and get used to the modern world. It was only 100 years or so ago that he stayed in his human form. He honestly liked his true form better. He felt kind of squished in this one. “Hera?” Zeus asked, opening his eyes now. “Well of course she was… displeased… This is why I have not seen him up until now.” Zeus felt the tension wash away from him, and it pleased him to have some sense of rationality back. Realizing what he had said, he rubbed the bridge of his nose and sighed. “Son…” he mused. “No matter how hurt, or angry you are… I will always be your Father…” Zeus paused. “Of all my children, you are one I make a point to see.” Zeus said. “I did not come here to cause harm… and yes, I have, I know… but please… Let us forgive, and forget.” Zeus sighed and sat down.
